New map stats is now displayed on the page

OK guys, here is another quick and short update.

Now the player stats page (maps section) displays your stats for both of the game types on the new map Leonops.

I have also fixed the server list issue and added "Game type" column to the table.

I will make other changes which most of you probably won't even notice but are required due to the release of this map in the following days.

Hope you like it,
Kami

Support indie developers and buy five great games

Support indie developers and buy five great games

How much would you pay for five really great Linux-compatible games? It really is up to you with ‘The Humble Indie Bundle’.

It’s an exciting experiment in online retail & distribution – these games would normally set you back around $80 but in this promotion you can literally pay pennies (but don’t you think these games – and the fact they’re Linux friendly – at least deserves a bit more than that?). So far the 'average’ price people have paid for the bundle is a relatively bargainous $7.88.

As of writing this offer is only open for 5 more days.

Where does the money go? With no middle man to pay it goes 100% to the developers themselves (and, in this case, optionally, charity) so being stingy with your cash isn’t the best way to reward the hard work and dedication involved. The games are also DRM free so no hidden catch or cripple-ware deadline is going kick in at a later date.

The Humble Indie Bundle comprises the following five games – all available for Linux, Windows & Mac:

  • World of Goo
  • Aquaria
  • Gish
  • Lugaru HD
  • Penumbra overture

P.S. I know that this is not a Stargate Resistance related news, but I really find this a great offer and I think that apart from supporting Stargate Resistance we need to support indie developers as well so I decided to share it with you.

Stargate Resistance video tutorials

Just a quick notice that a Stargate Resistance forum member zainea13 made a few short video tutorials which explain the game basics.

SGR Video tutorials

Videos are pretty nice so if you are new and not yet familiar with a game, be sure to check them out.

Stargate Resistance Manual

Hello,

Last few days a lot of new players are running around the servers and many of them don't really know what to do.

If you are one of those new players who feels lost, don't worry, because there is an official SGR manual available which explains the game concepts, classes and basics pretty nicely (yes, it's not a boring 200 page long small font text-dense manual and it even contains some pictures! :P).

So, download the manual, check it out and hopefully you will soon realize why your scientist character can't kill or hurt an opponent with a "little blue thingy" :)

There are also some articles about the game available on our and other clan websites, so if you are interested, you can check those as well.

P.S. If you still feel lost or need more help, visit the Stargate Resistance forum.
