New Stargate Resistance trailer, free free play event #2 and more
Hello Stargate fans!
Looks like today is going to be a great day.
New SGR trailer
The dev team has been working pretty hard recently and they have released a new SGR trailer which you can view on YouTube (it's pretty short, but the new stuff looks hot, so don't forget to check it out).
Free play event #2
And now for all of you who had problems, didn't have the time or missed the previous free play event; you will have another chance to try and play the game for free this weekend:
Free play begins Friday at midnight (pacific time), April 30th, through Sunday, midnight (pacific time), May 2.

Oh and now something slightly off-topic, but do you know which day is today?
Yes, it's 29.04.2010, the day when the long awaited Ubuntu 10.4 LTS is released!
It does not matter if you already use it or not, but you should at least check it out (CD images should be available on the website later today), because it contains many improvements and cool new features!
P.S. If you decide to migrate to Ubuntu, you will still need to keep a copy of Windows around, because sadly, Stargate Resistance does not work on Ubuntu (I'm pretty sure that the game itself would work fine with Wine, but it looks like that the hack prevention system / anti-cheat is causing the problems).

Stargate Resistance video tutorials
Just a quick notice that a Stargate Resistance forum member zainea13 made a few short video tutorials which explain the game basics.
Videos are pretty nice so if you are new and not yet familiar with a game, be sure to check them out.
