SL Classes

Jaffa

Equipment

  • Staff Weapon

  • Shock Grenade

The Jaffa

is the general assault class for the System Lords. However, it is not played the same way as the soldier for the SGC. The staff weapon has two firing modes, an area of effect blast that takes time to recharge, and a general small-bullet like blast. These attacks are relatively slow compared to bullets, making the Jaffa best at medium to long range. At close range, the staff weapon can be used as a melee attack, but it is not very effective and should only be used as a last resource. The shock grenade is basically a flash grenade that instantly blinds any enemy in the vicinity of it's blast, it is very useful when facing large groups of SGC members, or when low on health and making a quick getaway. Overall, the Jaffa is great against both scientists and commandos, and is weak against soldiers due to their fast firing P90s.

Ashrak

Equipment

  • Altar Blade

  • Hara'Kesh

  • Reetou Karesh

The Ashrak

is a stealthy class that uses a blade and cloak (Reetou Karesh) in order to kill enemies from behind. In addition to sneaking around with a blade, Ashraks can drain their enemies energy/stamina using the Hara'Kesh which then gets transformed into a healing burst for the Ashrak. Ashraks are generally used to take out snipers and scientists because they are generally stationary targets that play a key role in assisting soldiers. Ashraks are good against any class, except soldiers who generally run around a lot more than any other SGC class and thus Ashraks have a difficult time backstabbing them. They are also only good when they are stealthy, any frontal confrontation with an enemy typically ends with a dead Ashrak.

Goa'uld

Equipment

  • Go'Wye Ribbon Device

  • Maaynd Gem

  • Hardesh

The Goa'uld

is another general assault class for the System Lords that focusses on close-quarter combat. The Go'Wye Ribbon Device "latches" onto enemies distorting their vision and draining their health. This link can only be broken if the Goa'uld takes damage. The Maaynd Gem is used to heal both the Goa'uld and allies. The Hardesh is the Goa'uld's personal sheild that protects him from most forms of damage, allowing him to infiltrate enemy positions with little risk. Overall, the Goa'uld is good against soldiers and commandos and has a weakness against scientists because of their turrets.
